Absolutely love this look, innocent and classy at the same time. Feathers on hats could be coming back?

Final trend board! I have developed this further from the last hand in by writing more about my trend and referencing my images. I really enjoyed this project as it allowed me the creative freedom and also trend forecasting is something that I can see myself doing after I finish university.

First research board I did, showcasing my favourite street shots and out lining my trend!

Trend Project
For one of our brief’s we had to create a trend of what we think will occur for Spring/Summer 2013. To do this we were asked to go out and take 30 photos each of people in the street to see if we could pick up any hints of what to look forward to next year. After a while I noticed that there was a strong hint of red, but that is definitely this years trend as we have the olympics and the queens jubilee so there is a quite a lot of patriotism. After researching some more using WGSN and MPDClick I found that there is an infatuation with tie dye starting to set in and that this is what I would base my trend on. From this I created the trend “Colour Run”.

This is a photo that I was considering using for my editorial but I couldn’t fit it in to work with all the others as it was from the other shoot, however I do think it captures the theme “Sparkle” really well.
-
Development of ideas for our store card! All coming together and looking good, as our store is eco-friendly we wanted to used earthly colours to help it all tie in but whilst maintaining a classic and still quite glamourous look.
-
Development for our logo for our store “Oh Dear” as a competitor for Topshop in our marketing project.

My final boards! Trend board and Window Display board!
-
This is the background I chose to use in my windows which I found on the internet, I didn’t edit it as I thought it was perfect as it is and gave off the right feel to it.
The second picture is a screen shot of my second M&Co window which is my favourite one out of the two. I was more confident using sketch up and managed to incorporate an anchor and a surf board to add depth and also make my window more aesthetically pleasing. Overall I’m happy with both of my window’s!
